The National guard is a very common sight in new orleans. These guys just got back from Iraq and were happy because after New Orleans, they were heading home.

This is a nice solar powered cart that a private organization has been donating to various communities. It contains two huge deep cycle marine batteries and a very large inverter. It's really nice to use powertools and have a radio when gutting a house.

Ricky from the Soul Patrol took me for a ride to document the fact that FEMA has now decided to install 50-60 trailers for returning reesidents in what used to be a park. This has the looks of a prison colony, not a very suitable athmosphere for people to rebuild their lives.

Up until now, trailers have been parked on residents' properties allowing them easy access to their homes.
